At the Emmys: KTLA 5 featured Brig!

We asked stylist and director of p!ay, Sam Berkan, what advice she would go back and tell her pre-hairstylist self about her own hair and here is what she had to say: “Sometimes I wish I had a time machine… so I could travel back to when I was in high school and say, “PUT DOWN THE BLEACH!” I used to lock myself in the bathroom and pile on the bleach ’till my hair was a friedness…  I know that it’s awesome to experiment with your hair, makeup, and style, but to leave hair color to the professionals.” ;)-Sam To read more about Sam here....

Every makeover has a story. Meet Abby…

Abby just had been in to see Brig last week & decided to keep her length & existing color UNTIL…she accompanied her mom, this week, to her appointment & said to Brig “I think I want to cut all my hair off again!” You just have to know that you can’t say that to Brig and not get excitement. Brig not only cut Abby’s hair, but she also added a few bright gold slices to punctuate Abby’s new cut.  She loves her fresh new look! We love her guts! Go Abby!...

Dani Selvaggio – Featured Guest Artist

Born in Simi Valley, Dani embraces her Southern California roots as inspiration for her art. She graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, in 2005 and subsequently taught art at the San Francisco Children’s Art Center during the day. At night she studied life drawing through a joint University program, where she pretended to be an Italian foreign exchange student for a full semester for no particular reason except to see if she could get away with it (She did. Everyone was too polite to question it). She has since returned to the Los Angeles area where she now works full-time at Warner Bros. Entertainment and works part-time running a volunteer organization called “Good Juju.” As an all-the-time artist, Dani resuscitated her personal art career in 2006 and has been creating ever since.
